Automating Dealer Help Through MyQ
MyQ is a very helpful app for controlling your garage door and viewing garage door cameras, but did you know that it can help diagnose a problem and send the data to your dealer for immediate help? If you have your MyQ app set up properly, with the press of a button your error codes are sent to the Liftmaster dealer of your choice.
Liftmaster products are very reliable, but in the event something goes wrong, MyQ can help get your problem resolved quickly if you have it set up properly. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up your app so that when your garage door has a problem, you do not have a delay in getting help.
First you must download the app from either the Apple Store or the Google Play store and followed the instructions to set it up if you do not already have the app on your phone.
Select the Circle in the upper left to open the account screen (The account button) to open up your account settings. Select “My Dealer” from the list of options:
Click the “Dealer ID” tab and type in the dealer id of 16678 to select Superior Overhead Doors of Broken Arrow.
When completed the My Dealer tab should look like the picture below:
Now the app is set up so that if you ever have a problem with a Liftmaster motor then you can press the “Connect with a Dealer” button to send the error code and data to the dealer you selected. You should follow up with a call to the dealer to have them give you recommendations or schedule a service call.
